Discover Our Shared History
At iNostalgia, our journey is rooted in the desire to share our shared history through nostalgia. We believe that the past holds stories that resonate with our present and shape our future. By diving deep into the memories of yesteryears, we unearth tales that not only provide comfort and familiarity but also instil a sense of community and cultural appreciation.
Our Mission
iNostalgia is committed to sharing community and culturally significant nostalgia-based articles that spotlight the rich history of the UK. Our primary focus lies in the tapestry of the 20th century, though our narrative stretches beyond, encompassing various community assets such as churches, historic locations, and much more. We are on a relentless quest to bring forth stories that bind us, stories that remind us of our collective journey.
Our Mission is driven by an idea of giving back, a want to do more for community and those around us. This means that we don’t just want to write about the past, but to bring the past to life and in a way to ensures it stays alive – But more than this we want to build a sustainable website (or website network) which is giving back to those who share their stories. To this end you will see adverts on this website, our websites may have affiliate links on them and Nostalgia Digital has a paid tier … all of them support our work – but the bulk of our content will always be free.
As part of our ongoing mission to grow iNostalgia and share the local history of the UK more, in October 2023 we launched Nostalgia Digital a subscription service allowing anyone to get Nostalgia and History direct to their inbox for FREE.
Nostalgia Digital, a little like Patreon, allows users to upgrade and get member-only content once a week. With regular image galleries being part of this as well as expansive content also being a part of what we offer for our growing paid membership. Join now for free, and if you love what you see – do please upgrade for more!
A Glimpse into Our Past
iNostalgia was created and grew from the passion and dedication of its founder, Henry Hochland. A visionary, Henry recognized the power of nostalgia in connecting communities, generations, and stories. Through iNostalgia, he aspired to bridge the gap between the past and the present.
Sadly, the Inostalgia family mourned the untimely loss of Henry, a guiding light whose vision continues to illuminate our path. As we remember and honour his legacy, we are also grateful for the new chapter under the dynamic leadership of Andy & Vicky. Their commitment, passion, and vision ensure that iNostalgia remains a beacon for those seeking a deeper connection to their roots.
More Than Just History
While our core lies in highlighting the events of the 20th century, we are not limited to it. Our homepage showcases a range of topics, reflecting the diversity and richness of the UK’s heritage. From the bustling streets of Manchester & London to the serene landscapes of the countryside, from iconic personalities to everyday heroes, iNostalgia is your gateway to discovering stories that define our shared history.
