Popular presenter Matthew Kelly and Shakespearean stalwart Sir Anthony Sher have a big reason to thank Manchester School of Theatre.

So too do Julie Walters, Richard Griffiths and Bernard Hill, as well as Cold Feet veteran John Thomson.

They all learned their craft at the school, which started life in 1964 as a training course for professional actors at the city’s College of Art and Design.
