Do you remember when you were young and you sang Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin Flew Away…

Well, it turns out… it may not be right…

or not the only version anyway. Or maybe not the most popular version to exist, and this may have even changed over time thanks to The Simpsons!

Back in 1993, Robert Goulet was featured in The Simpsons and sang:

Jingle bells, Batman smells
Robin laid an egg
The Batmobile lost a wheel
And The Joker got away

And perhaps this changed the course of history…

Tom Scott, the ultimate polymath over on YouTube answered this question by asking almost 65,000 people from the UK and USA. He looked at a number of factors and how it has changed overtime here in the UK, but not necessarily elsewhere…
